Last week I had the privilege of hanging out with five lovely couples, who between them were celebrating honeymoons, engagements, birthdays and even a pending new arrival. So much happiness all around – I can’t believe what an amazing job I have! Hopefully I’ll get round to blogging some full shoots soon but in the meantime here are some highlights.
Rather than choosing the ‘best’ images of each session I’ve picked images which for me resonate most with the couples’ personalities, or just remind me of a fun or touching moment we had during the shoot. There’s always a little bit of posing involved but I like to work candidly, gently teasing out the genuine emotion and playfulness between my couples. That way we get more authentic results, and hopefully some honest moments to remember rather than a set of perfect poses 🙂
Lovely Maryanne was quite emotional during our shoot as her very thoughtful daughter had surprised her by booking it as a surprise for her 50th birthday. Maryanne looked absolutely fabulous despite the short notice, and totally rocked her dance moves with partner Robin!
Sofia and Jereme have the best ‘how did you meet story’ I have ever heard. They worked in the same company but had never met; one day Sofia wasn’t too well after giving blood and suddenly fainted. Just guess who the duty first aid officer was that day……..
Yep, enter Jereme to catch the swooning lady! She woke up, looked into his eyes and the rest is history. Maybe sometimes love is exactly like the movies 🙂
Another couple told me how much they love love love food, so we want along to a wonderful little food market called le Marché des Enfants Rouges in the Marais. Paris’ oldest covered market is a vibrant melting pot of cultures and intoxicating smells, and worth a trip just to sample one of Alain’s legendary crepes. Mmm I got so hungry editing this shoot.
You may recognise Erin and Alexander from their Montmarte engagement shoot back in August. These guys also have a little one on the way and we were able to squeeze in a quick shoot before they head back to Seattle to start their new family. How sweet are these little socks??
And finally Katie and Dae are a very sweet couple from South Korea who will be getting married in a couple of months. They are so excited about their wedding and very much in love 🙂
Aaaaand just a few more as I can’t resist!
