I have two New Yorkers and a macaron-inspired love story to bring you today!
Gretchen and Allison met six months ago and have been inseparable ever since. Whilst in Paris they became officially engaged, and Gretchen surprised Allison with a photo shoot with me the following morning!
Here’s what Gretchen has to say about their relationship:
“Mostly we make each other laugh. What I find so amazing about our relationship is how loving, caring and respectful of each other we are. We have such ease around each other. It’s lovely and I’m hoping you can capture some of that between us…..
We had an amazing first date – drinks turned into dinner which turned into more drinks – and the next day I left for Paris for a week-long work trip. I found I couldn’t stop thinking about her the whole time I was gone. Later that week I asked if she would consider flying to Paris to spend the weekend with me. She wasn’t able to, but promised she would come and join me on my next trip there……
I returned to New York with Ladurée macaroons and rose champagne, which we had on our second date, and I promised to go back to Paris with her and take her to the shop which she has never been to”
We sheltered from the rain in a café on the Champs Elysées, then as promised took Allison to the Ladurée shop (naturally indulging in some treats!), and ended with a stroll through the Tuileries. These two are so natural together, it was a complete pleasure to witness their connection and the easy way they made each other laugh. A total dream for a photographer!
